The Heart Hero Academy™, created by our President, Faith Brackett, who holds a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education, was designed to nurture resilience, confidence, and self-empowerment in children with congenital heart disease. Over the course of this free 4-week program developed for children in grades Pre-K-3, children will participate in age-appropriate activities aimed at building confidence and promoting a sense of empowerment and self-worth. Our goal is that every child leaves the Heart Hero Academy knowing they are uniquely made, deeply valued, and capable of making an impact through simply being them! We want every child to understand that they are far more than a diagnosis. Their courage, personality, gifts, interests, and ability to impact others are what truly make them shine. By encouraging children to pursue their passions, develop their strengths, and engage fully in the world around them, we help them build a sense of identity that extends well beyond their heart condition. Their CHD journey is one piece of their story, not the whole book.
